Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to design and develop engaging training programs across live workshops, webinars, and eLearning. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to create curriculum, assessments, and certification materials using Articulate tools and AI-assisted workflows.

The role requires a BS/MA in Instructional Design and 5+ years of experience, strong visual and instructional design skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid

• 5+ years of Instructional Design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Articulate Suite, Camtasia and voiceover tools.
• Experience with generative AI to improve content quality.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Experience with LMS and learning analytics.

Responsibilities

• Participate in curriculum design, instructional design, content writing, and course development across live workshops, webinars, and eLearning.
• Research and assess existing course materials for new materials.
• Conduct needs analysis, design, development, testing, and evaluation of training materials.
• Design engaging learning materials with strong visuals.
• Determine learning solutions based on objectives and outcomes.
• Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to develop training programs.
• Use Thomson Reuters Generative-AI Tools to support design and iteration.
• Record time and engagement for utilization reporting.
• Upload training content into the LMS and perform operational tasks.
• Occasionally join customer calls for discovery and feedback.
• Hybrid schedule with in-office work at least three days per week.

Job description

• Participate in curriculum design, instructional design, content writing, and course development across live instructor-led workshops, webinars, office hours, on-demand workshops, eLearning, videos, certification exams, and toolkits
• Research and assess existing course materials to support new and up-to-date training materials
• Conduct learning needs analysis, curriculum mapping, design, writing, development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of training materials
• Design and develop graphically rich, engaging, and innovative learning materials
• Determine appropriate learning solutions based on inputs, objectives, and desired business and learning outcomes
• Design curriculum, courses, modules, learning objectives, and assessment questions to transfer and validate knowledge
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, Curriculum Designers, project leads, and key stakeholders to assess content needs and develop and deliver training and certification programs
• Use Thomson Reuters generative-AI tools to support instructional design, content development, and iteration of learning assets with appropriate oversight
• Record time and engagement details for utilization reporting
• Upload training content into the LMS and perform other operational tasks as needed
• Occasionally join customer calls for discovery and feedback
• Work in-office at least three days per week as part of a hybrid schedule

Requirements

• BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or similar
• 5+ years of Instructional Design experience
• Advanced knowledge of the Articulate suite (Storyline, Rise, Review 360), Camtasia, system-generated voiceover software, and other digital learning and multimedia design tools
• Demonstrated knowledge of applied adult learning theory, instructional design, and learning management systems
• Ability to design and create dynamic and engaging content incorporating design elements and effective learning principles
• Experience using generative AI tools to improve efficiency and quality in content creation and evaluate outputs for accuracy, clarity, and learner impact
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with teams and individuals at all organizational levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex concepts clearly and simply
• Ability to storyboard and write sound training curriculum
• Outstanding visual design skills
• Strong project management skills; ability to multitask, set priorities, and meet timelines
• Experience with software product training or similar industry preferred
