Job summary

Alpha is hiring Learning Coaches to guide K-3 students through app-based core learning and targeted reading sessions on-site. You’ll diagnose reading gaps, design short, effective sequences, and monitor daily goals in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

You will spend roughly 70% of your day guiding students and 30% on targeted reading sessions, with relocation support as Alpha expands across campuses nationwide.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years working directly with children ages 4-9: teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, etc.
• At least 2 years of that experience teaching reading in grades K-3, within the last 5 years
• Completed structured-literacy training: LETRS or equivalent, or a master’s in reading or literacy
• Bachelor's degree required; a teaching certificate not required
• Comfortable spending about 70% of your day guiding students through app-based learning and campus routines
• Legally authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Get every K-3 student to their daily learning goals and close reading gaps.
• Lead app-based core learning and targeted literacy sessions with small groups.
• Conduct morning launches, workshops, and routines to keep students engaged.
• Drive students toward weekly app goals using gamification and leaderboards.
• Stay with students through lunch, recess, closing, and interventions with a plan for each child.
