Job summary

The Learning Center Director at Fresno State provides strategic leadership, vision, and operational oversight for one of the university’s largest academic support units, integrating SI, tutoring, and academic success coaching to improve student outcomes and equity.

This role leads professional staff and a large student employee workforce, drives data-informed decision making, and partners across Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and campus leadership to scale services and advance persistence,

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and three years of progressively responsible management experience in a student service program such as a Learning Center or tutoring program.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership, vision, and operational oversight for a high-impact academic support unit (SI, Tutoring, ASC).
• Lead professional staff, graduate assistants, and a large student workforce; oversee budgeting and program design.
• Drive data-informed decision making to improve student engagement, outcomes, and equity; collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and university leadership.
