Job summary

California State University, Fresno is seeking a Director of the Learning Center to provide strategic leadership and oversight for a high-impact academic support unit. The role focuses on expanding reach, improving student outcomes, and aligning with university and system goals in persistence, retention, and graduation.

The Director will lead a multi-modal operation, including SI, tutoring, and ASC, managing professional staff, graduate assistants, and student employees while collaborating

Qualifications

• A master's degree and three years of progressively responsible management or supervisory experience in a student service program such as a Learning Center or tutorial program and experience with program development, evaluation, and fiscal management
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills managing staff, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development systems.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain quality assurance standards, operational procedures, and service delivery models that ensure consistency, effectiveness, and high-quality student experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Learning Center.
• Lead personnel, budget, and fiscal stewardship across programs.
• Design and innovate academic support services and scale initiatives.
• Collaborate with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, faculty, and university leadership.
• Use data-informed decision making to improve student outcomes.
