Learning Assistants are offered in specific classes and typically require a faculty recommendation. They support students by serving as a mentor, coach, and tutor in the course; holding review sessions and tutoring hours outside class; coaching students on study strategies; and attending mandatory training sessions as directed by the Learning Assistant supervisor. After completing training and demonstrating satisfactory performance, they may be considered for leadership positions.
