Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an on-site Lean Coordinator in Brenham to support Lean teams through coaching, training, data management and analysis. The role drives opportunities for improvement and waste reduction, using Lean tools to optimize office and plant processes.

The position emphasizes interaction with multiple levels, preparing reports, and delivering updates to leadership. A Lean certification and strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• A practical understanding of Lean principles and methodologies.
• MS Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency is required.
• Ability to speak in front of groups and train others.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and wear PPE when required.
• Travel up to 5% annually.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coach Lean / 5S events / Standard Work events, coordinating Lean activities and removing obstacles.
• Calculate and maintain Lean-related measures, maintain records, and update visual boards.
• Create and/or Update Standard Work documents.
• Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly updates to the Lean Manager, Brenham Sr. Plant Manager.
• Provide Lean training as necessary.
• Report to the Lean Manager and collaborate with teams across the plant.
• Other duties as directed/assigned.
