Valmont Industries, Inc. in Brenham, TX seeks a highly driven Operations Manager to lead day-to-day production in a multi-shift steel fabrication/assembly operation.

You will oversee frontline supervisors, drive safety, quality and efficiency goals, and participate in budgeting, forecasting and capital projects, with structured development toward future site leadership roles. This is an on-site salaried position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience or an Associate’s with 8+ years
• Supervisory or management experience in an industrial environment
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cost controlling in manufacturing
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes
• Willingness to travel 10-15%
• Willingness to relocate as required
• Passion and integrity with drive to excel

Responsibilities

• Manage plant resources to meet safety, quality and production goals as set by Plant Manager
• Follow an intense training plan in industrial troubleshooting, accounting, forecasting, HR and capital execution
• Identify best practices, perform lean audits and kaizen events, with travel to learn from high-level projects
• Transition into a higher-level site leadership role with P&L responsibility within 2–4 years
• Travel to other Valmont sites to share best practices and support other sites
