Job summary

Valmont Group in Columbus, NE is seeking an individual contributor to support Lean teams and leaders with coaching, training, data management, and analysis. The role includes facilitating Lean events, supporting metrics, and communicating progress to leadership.

You will partner with Engineering, identify improvement opportunities, and help sustain a Continuous Improvement culture through Lean and Agile methodologies, traveling up to 25% domestically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a relevant field or Associate's with 3+ years lean experience.
• Strong understanding of Lean principles and methodology.
• Ability to motivate and lead people without formal authority.
• Strong leadership, problem solving, planning, and attention to detail.
• Ability to schedule daily workload without supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of the workforce.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coach Lean events and coordinate Lean activities.
• Support Lean-related metrics and create visual boards.
• Deliver weekly/monthly progress updates to Leadership using data.
• Partner with Engineering to understand processes and capacity.
• Establish credibility to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide Lean training to stakeholders in operations and management.
• Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities with site leadership.
• Help develop and sustain a Continuous Improvement Culture.
