Job summary

Vander-Bend, a division of Vantedge Medical, seeks a Continuous Improvement Leader for our Stockton facilities. You will lead cross-functional CI initiatives, apply Lean and Operational Excellence, and drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to standardise processes, optimise material flow, and deliver measurable cost savings. A strong Lean/Six Sigma background and ERP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar with applicable experience.
• Lean, SixSigma, and/or Project Management certification strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years directly involved in lean/CI leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience with ERP and manufacturing reporting systems (Infor Visual, Power BI, Excel).
• Demonstrated history of implementing measurable operational improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and employee engagement.
• Champion Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, and CI methodologies including Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management, 5S, SMED, Pull Systems, A3, PDCA, and Root Cause Analysis.
• Identify, prioritise, and execute improvement projects that increase manufacturing capacity, reduce lead time, and eliminate waste.
• Facilitate Kaizen events and Rapid Improvement Workshops with measurable results and sustainment.
• Develop and maintain standardised work, visual work instructions, and process documentation to reduce variation.
• Analyse operational data and KPIs to identify trends and improvements; present recommendations to site leadership.
• Lead manufacturing process improvement projects including workflow optimisation, line balancing, and layout improvements.
• Improve material flow by reducing waste and optimising inventory and replenishment.
