Job summary

CP Industries, a leading manufacturer of high-pressure steel cylinders and vessels, is seeking a Lean Coordinator to lead continuous improvement efforts and elevate plant performance. The role partners with production, quality, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain to drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost improvements.

The Lean Coordinator will own the Lean program, develop workforce capabilities, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or continuous improvement experience, or equivalent.
  • Proven track record leading Lean manufacturing initiatives with measurable results.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
  • Background in heavy manufacturing, machining, welding, fabrication, or assembly a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ASME, or military quality standards a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S activities, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis sessions.
  • Analyze production data and process flows to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, document, and implement standard work procedures with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach and train employees, supervisors, and managers on Lean principles and tools.
  • Monitor and report KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
  • Support facility layout improvements, workflow optimization, and visual management systems.
  • Track and communicate project progress and outcomes to management.
  • Champion a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
