Job summary

PPG is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer at our Gainesville, TX plant to coordinate CI initiatives and lead site-wide improvement projects. You will define scopes, launch priorities, train operators, and drive value through disciplined CI methods across manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include setting KPI targets, coaching teams, conducting LSS assessments, and partnering with Quality Assurance to ensure robust end-to-end processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; Master's preferred
• 5+ years of LSS/CI experience in chemical/food/manufacturing environment preferred
• Black Belt certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess and deploy CI development plans and set goals.
• Define, maintain and align KPI targets with site business strategy.
• Coach/mentor CI methodologies with leaders, engineers and operators.
• Conduct LSS assessments and define action plans to close gaps.
• Assist Operators to drive manufacturing efficiencies using CI tools/techniques.
• Align with Quality Assurance to deliver end-to-end processes.
