Job summary

PL Developments is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer in Lynwood, CA, to lead data‑driven improvement projects in OTC manufacturing and packaging. You will apply DMAIC and Lean methods, coach belts, and partner with IT to validate digital tools, all while ensuring cGMP compliance and quality governance.

You will manage complex initiatives, apply advanced statistics, and deliver measurable gains across yield, throughput, and cost with a focus on patient safety and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a B.S. in engineering or related field with an advanced degree preferred.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is required; Master Black Belt is preferred.
• 5–8 years in manufacturing/operational excellence with Lean Six Sigma leadership.
• Experience with OTC pharma, cGMP, and FDA regulations is highly desirable.
• Strong statistical analysis, DOE, MSA/Gage R&R, and SPC skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional Black Belt projects from charter to control with measurable benefits.
• Apply DMAIC and Lean tools to drive yield, throughput, and cost improvements.
• Develop digital tools and dashboards to monitor performance (OEE, throughput, YFT).
• Partner with IT/Technical Services to validate systems per GAMP/FDA CSA.
