Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas seeks a Lean Sigma Engineer to plan and lead Lean Sigma projects, drive cost savings, and ensure adherence to schedules and customer expectations. The role contributes to deployment planning and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

The candidate will design and deliver Green Belt training, mentor Green Belt candidates, and participate in a scalable Lean Sigma expansion across Safran Seats global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or business administration; OR an Associate's plus 3 years relevant work experience; OR 6 years directly related work experience.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience with process improvement experience.
• Lean training from recognized programs (Shingo Institute, Shingijutsu, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Plans basic Lean Sigma projects, including budgets.
• Leads Lean Sigma projects to achieve significant cost savings.
• Ensures projects are on schedule and meet customer expectations.
• Contributes to Lean Sigma deployment plan development and implementation.
• Fosters Lean Sigma culture within the organization.
• Designs and evaluates internal Lean Sigma Green Belt program.
• Delivers Lean Sigma Green Belt training to employees.
• Mentors Green Belt candidates toward certification and methodology compliance.
