Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas, invites applications for a Lean Sigma Engineer who will lead process improvement initiatives across the value stream, drive cost savings, and support deployment of Lean Sigma across the site.

The role emphasizes training, mentoring, and developing a robust Green Belt program, with a focus on delivering measurable improvements while ensuring safety and standard work adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or business administration; OR an Associate's plus 3 years relevant/related work experience; OR 6 years directly related work experience.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience and minimum of 1 year with process improvement experience.
• Lean training from the Shingo Institute, Shingijutsu, or other recognized program or company.
• Must pursue One Safran referent accreditation
• Basic knowledge of Lean Sigma, process improvement, and problem solving methodologies
• Basic Knowledge within functional areas of Continuous Improvement (at least one of the following fields): Office Lean, Training of Lean Sigma, Engineering Lean Sigma/CI (DFLSS, DFMA, VAVE, etc.), Quality/Manufacturing Lean Sigma/CI

Responsibilities

• Plans basic Lean Sigma projects, including budgets;
• Leads Lean Sigma projects that will produce significant cost savings;
• Ensures projects are on schedule and customer expectations are meet;
• Contributes to the development and Implementation of lean sigma deployment plan;
• Fosters the Lean Sigma culture within the organization;
• Designs, develops, implements and evaluates internal Lean Sigma Green Belt program;
• Delivers employee Lean Sigma Green Belt Training;
• Mentors Green Belt candidates on basic projects to reach certification ensuring compliance to methodology;
