Job summary

Trystar, a leader in power distribution equipment, seeks a Production Supervisor to guide production associates in implementing lean processes, achieving safety and quality goals, and meeting customer expectations. This role reports to the Value Stream Manager and focuses on continuous improvement across the manufacturing floor.

You will develop standard work, cross-train teams, and drive performance metrics while upholding our guiding principles and values.

Qualifications

• Two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer literacy including MS Word and Excel; familiarity with MRP transactions (Epicor preferred).
• Ability to work department shift hours and overtime with the team.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for safe working conditions and lead by example with rapid correction of hazards.
• Create a culture of accountability and empowerment within production.
• Cross-train production teams and ensure backups across areas for smooth operation.
• Recognize employees for results that support customer satisfaction and company values.
• Manage interviews, hiring, training, and performance reviews per policy; partner with HR for rewards and discipline.
• Monitor department metrics across safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, and people.
• Drive continuous improvement and elimination of waste within the department.
• Develop knowledge of products and processes to update standard work and cross-train staff.
• Lead team meetings and coordinate support services; escalate major issues with proposed solutions.
• Oversee employment decisions and performance of direct reports and team leads.
• Ensure ERP/MRP data accuracy and compliance with valued usage.
• Support project prioritization and implementation of process improvements.
