Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Supervisor for a Rochester, NY contract role. You will lead daily manufacturing operations, drive safety and quality, coach hourly staff, and ensure adherence to production schedules and cost targets.

The role emphasizes lean principles, problem solving, and continuous improvement within a high‑volume setting. You will mentor group leaders, support launch activities, and ensure compliance with quality standards while maintaining a safe, efficient workplace onsite.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in manufacturing, production, or supply chain settings.
• Ability to train, develop, and evaluate hourly employees.
• Familiarity with lean principles and variation reduction.
• Experience meeting production schedules, costs, and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and adjust plans as needed.
• Drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Age supervise teams, manage performance, and drive accountability.
• Oversee production, quality inspections, and problem solving.
• Coach, mentor, and develop group leaders and hourly staff.
• Support GMS processes and launch/pilot activities.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a compliant environment.
• Strive to meet or exceed production and schedule objectives.
