Job summary

Rotork in Rochester is seeking a Manufacturing Lean Manager to lead lean manufacturing and CI initiatives, driving waste reduction, process optimization, improved quality, and best practices across the facility.

You will mentor a team of 2–4 engineers/technicians, design shop-floor processes, support audits, collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering, and ensure manufacturing readiness for new products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Equivalent with 3–5 years of manufacturing experience acceptable.
• 5+ years of industrial experience in assembly/manufacture with technical responsibility.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent CI certification.
• Experience leading process improvement projects with measurable results.
• Experience supervising Manufacturing Engineers/Technicians or similar staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 2–4 Engineers/Technicians.
• Design and document shop floor processes considering safety, environment, quality, and compliance.
• Monitor and troubleshoot manufacturing methods; support audits.
• Design jigs, fixtures, and tooling for production.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to mitigate constraints.
• Support Quality with non-conforming components and corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and maintain process instructions.
• Drive root cause investigations and problem resolution.
• Review drawings/BOMs for manufacturability and efficiency.
• Investigate new manufacturing technologies and provide cost estimates.
• Support NPI activities and manufacturing readiness.
