Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Irrigation Production team at Valley, Nebraska. The role leads shift operations, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency while coaching team members and driving lean initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with experience or substantial experience in lean manufacturing, and strong skills in Excel, Word and Outlook, with proven leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, Associate’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant experience
• Lean manufacturing principles including standard work, continuous improvement and problem resolution
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook; strong leadership and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the production operations of the Irrigation Department
• Manage resources to meet safety, quality, and production goals
• Lead lean audits and kaizen events; travel occasionally to assist high-level projects
• Utilize production and other analytical reports to gauge plant performance and drive decisions
• Plan staffing and development of production employees, supervisors and technical personnel
• Ensure environmental and safety compliance as per policy and regulations
• Train new employees on divisional activities and safety policies
