G&W Electric Co in Illinois seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance department across Bolingbrook and Blue Island locations, ensuring efficient plant operation and minimal downtime. You will plan work, enforce procedures, and drive improvements while leading a team of hourly staff.

The role requires 10+ years in maintenance, 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, and strong problem solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years progressive experience in a maintenance environment.
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of production equipment maintenance.
• Minimum of 5+ years experience directing an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and a business planning/inventory system.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve results; manage manpower and materials.
• Lead continuous improvement activities and coordinate with cross functional teams.
• Maintain 6S standards and enforce improvements and compliance.
• Direct and enforce the safety program and complete safety trainings on time.
• Ensure building infrastructure complies with environmental and safety requirements.
• Lead accident investigations, safety observations and hazard mapping.
• Support maintenance across G&W locations and assist with plant expansions.
• Ensure NFPA-70E compliance for all maintenance activities.
• Track and improve KPIs like asset utilization and uptime; analyze data and report results.
