Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan, schedule and direct the production operations team to meet productivity, safety, quality, delivery and cost goals. The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and adherence to company policies.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and ability to read, analyze and interpret documents.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn warehouse management software.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities of production associates to ensure high productivity, quality, service and safety.
• Oversee material handling area labor and performance.
• Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and conflict resolution for staff.
• Take corrective action as necessary and in line with company policy.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate policy changes and gather feedback for improvements.
• Participate in staffing decisions and performance evaluations.
• Plan and prioritize daily work assignments based on demand and line priorities.
• Set line assignments, staffing, breaks and overtime as required.
• Ensure achievement of production goals, quality and cost objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels using WMS and maintain accurate production documentation.
• Support Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Kanban) and safety SOPs.
