Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Production Manager to lead Production and Production Warehouse operations across multiple locations. You will oversee budgets, employee engagement, and IT/technical issues while driving productivity and safety.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and communication skills to manage diverse teams and optimize production output in a fast-paced food environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; BS in Business Management preferred.
• 7+ years in Production/Manufacturing in food environment; 2+ years leading a team.
• HACCP and GMP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Determine headcount requirements and labor utilization to meet goals.
• Schedule equipment and resources to support each production plan.
• Track yield rates to meet or exceed business goals.
• Manage work orders, ensuring audits and closures across fiscal periods.
• Set and monitor department performance metrics to track productivity.
• Develop and monitor annual department budgets and manage expenses vs. budget.
• Coordinate safety training and SOPs; maintain a safe work environment.
• Coach Supervisors and teams to balance productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Oversee staff selection, performance evaluations and corrective actions.
• Establish goals, monitor progress and provide feedback.
