Job summary

Mercury Marine, headquartered in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to join its Supply Chain team on-site in Fond du Lac. You will blend production scheduling with inventory control, analyzing demand, coordinating material flow, and scheduling components across manufacturing operations using Lean principles to ensure on-time delivery and optimal inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Materials management and/or supply chain experience.
• Strong Cross-Functional/Team Leadership and Communication Skills.
• Good Organization skills with strong attention to detail.
• Technical and logical capability to solve problems.
• Must be able to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required.

Responsibilities

• Expedite materials from their respective sources and coordinate with multiple teams.
• Communicate and resolve issues with receiving, inspection, purchasing, machine centers, assembly, and engineers.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports for decision making by production personnel and schedulers.
• Coordinate delivery of products to customers.
• Drive root cause analysis and problem solving within cross-functional teams.
• Spend time on the floor addressing inventory integrity and production supervision.
• Analyze current material flow to develop improvements and reduce waste.
• Initiate corrective actions to ensure effective inventory control.
• Collaborate to develop cost-effective inventory management practices.
• Manage inventory levels using Kanban, Pull, and ERP systems to meet demand.
