Job summary

Mercury Marine, based in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, seeks an experienced Maintenance Planner to plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance for assets and facilities. You will work within the maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable operations and optimize asset performance, downtime, and costs.

The role requires CMMS proficiency, 3–5 years in maintenance planning or reliability engineering, and a strong foundation in preventive/predictive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Post high school schooling/Associates degree related to maintenance and/or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or industrial operations.
• Experience with CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM, Oracle, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans and schedules.
• Review maintenance requests and generate executable work orders with needed resources.
• Analyze equipment failures and support root-cause investigations and improvements.
• Maintain accurate asset records and maintenance histories in the CMMS.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure spare parts availability and optimize inventory.
• Assist with asset lifecycle management and capital improvement projects.
• Optimize labor utilization and contractor effectiveness to improve productivity.
• Monitor plant fluids and utilities and ensure safe operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.
