Job summary

nVent is seeking a production leader to directly supervise manufacturing staff, providing training, direction and mentorship to improve performance while ensuring daily commitments are met. You will focus on safe, efficient operations and continuous improvement across the line.

In this role you will drive Lean initiatives, manage daily payroll processes, support new processes and product development, and develop key improvement projects that keep our operations competitive and secure for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Workday preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience; leadership experience preferred.
• 2+ years Lean manufacturing experience; ability to apply Lean concepts.

Responsibilities

• Direct production employees, including training, directing, educating, and mentoring on performance.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet commitments while improvements are made.
• Handle daily performance through the use of process center communication boards.
• Drive out waste through Lean methodology across the manufacturing operation.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment and support safety programs.
• Review and submit payroll hours weekly; enter exception hours as needed.
• Support new process and product development and implementation.
• Develop key improvement projects as needed.
