Job summary

ABB in Senatobia, MS is seeking an Automation Production Supervisor to lead a highly automated assembly line, align production with demand, and drive continuous improvement. You will oversee scheduling, monitor performance, and coordinate with Engineering and Maintenance to maintain uptime.

The role requires strong PLC/automation knowledge, lean manufacturing expertise, and excellent data analysis skills to optimize processes and meet service levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field; or equivalent.
• 3+ years as a Supervisor/Team Lead in automated manufacturing operations.
• Expertise in high-volume automated assembly line operations.
• Strong understanding of automation systems, PLC controls, and integrated equipment.
• Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma tools proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical documentation and system specs.

Responsibilities

• Automated Line Operations & Scheduling: ensure plans meet volume requirements and service levels.
• Monitor line performance metrics, throughput, and cycle times.
• Optimize line sequencing and changeovers for efficiency.
• Equipment & Automation Systems Management: recommend upgrades and improvements.
• Monitor robotic and conveyor systems; ensure uptime and availability.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance for optimal performance.
• Lead preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: identify gaps and apply Lean Six Sigma.
• Analyze automation data to drive efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead root-cause analysis on production issues.

Education

Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education
