Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to optimize plant performance and drive Lean initiatives. You will conduct time and capacity studies, analyze data, and implement improvements across production lines.

Responsibilities include SOP development, cross-functional collaboration, and training teams in lean methods. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and 2+ years of experience are required; relocation package may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; 2+ years manufacturing/industrial engineering experience required.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and A3 problem-solving preferred.
• Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Optimize plant performance by evaluating process efficiencies and conducting time and capacity studies.
• Lead lean initiatives using A3, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping to drive efficiency.
• Train and coach teams on lean practices; mentor for sustainable, high-performance habits.
