Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an Associate Process Improvement Engineer to drive high-impact initiatives across manufacturing and operations. You will leverage engineering principles, data analytics, and lean methods to streamline processes, enhance quality, and reduce costs across multiple facilities.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to implement continuous improvement and foster operational excellence and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and optimize plant efficiencies using data-driven methods.
• Lead lean initiatives and process improvement projects across facilities.
• Perform time studies, capacity analyses, and risk assessments.
• Develop SOPs and standards; train teams and coach staff.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to drive standardization.
