Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking an Associate Process Improvement Engineer in Texas to drive high-impact manufacturing improvements. You will leverage engineering principles, data analytics, and lean methods to streamline operations, improve product quality, and reduce costs across facilities.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to implement continuous improvement programs and uphold Smithfield Way standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence across levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate plant efficiencies and optimize processes through data-driven analyses.
• Lead Lean initiatives using A3, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Support implementation of new equipment or technologies within budget and specs.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work standards, and visual management systems.
• Train and coach teams to sustain continuous improvement and data integrity.
