Job summary

CRH Americas Building Products is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager (Finance) to lead lean manufacturing initiatives and capital improvement projects across multiple plants in the Mid-Atlantic region. This role involves 75%–90% travel among locations including Avon, CT and surrounding states.

The position requires strong project management, training, and collaboration with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and EH&S to enhance profitability and throughput within a decentralized, matrixed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, ideally in precast.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing to support continuous production operations.
• Quality control/maintenance background in manufacturing.
• Proven track record of delivering lean improvements and cost saving results.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate and improve production methods using lean tools and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to apply lean process improvement and capital investments to boost profitability and competitiveness.
• Provide training and mentoring to plant teams executing lean initiatives.
• Drive plant improvement projects and coordinate with operations and engineering teams.
• Translate operational needs into project requirements and specifications.
• Manage capital project proposals and ROI analyses; monitor budget compliance.
