Job summary

Forte Opening Solutions in Wisconsin seeks an Operations Manager to create and fulfill monthly and quarterly production schedules, directing production personnel to meet customer commitments while implementing lean manufacturing and safety.

You will partner with Plant GM and Supply Chain Manager to optimize purchasing, inventory, and production control, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations is preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in Manufacturing Management.
• Experience with Six Sigma Lean methodologies is preferred or training.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategic programs to improve labor efficiency, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and waste reduction.
• Generates monthly reports communicating program contributions, lead-times, delivery performance, and issues.
• Leads manufacturing improvements and optimizes production planning and control systems.
• Interfaces with Plant GM and Supply Chain Manager to develop purchasing, logistics, inventory, and production control requirements.
• Manages budgets, costs, and asset utilization to meet financial objectives.
