Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Columbus, Nebraska is looking for an experienced maintenance scheduler to develop and manage the maintenance schedule balancing preventive maintenance and repairs of essential equipment and facilities.

You will plan, schedule, and coordinate work orders and supplier schedules, release PMs, and align resources with demand based on PM planning and shop floor needs. The role includes purchasing for maintenance items, managing costs and hours, and creating action plans to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an Associate degree with 3+ years of maintenance scheduling experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and attention to detail.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, schedule, and monitor work orders in MaintainX.
• Coordinate the activities and deployable maintenance schedules.
• Evaluate PM requirements and create Work Orders for PM, project work and repair work.
• Maintain planned scheduling parameters, such as lead-times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times and order data.
• Create a schedule that satisfies production demands with optimum scheduling to prevent equipment downtime.
• Identify, negotiate, and resolve conflicts with respect to material and capacity availability and order-promising integrity.
• Source and request quotes for new material, or new suppliers for special purchase items.
• Review PMs for new or changes to existing materials; coordinate and manage inventory levels.
• Summarize daily and weekly work orders for released and firm planned orders and compare to the PM plan.
