Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. Groton location is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee safe manufacturing, drive on-time delivery, and achieve safety, quality, cost, and throughput targets. The role may supervise multiple functions and requires Lean, budgeting, and ERP/Excel proficiency.

You will lead staff, coordinate schedules, and partner with HR/Finance to hire and develop talent while maintaining a pay-for-performance culture. Relocation is authorized; ITAR/EAR compliance may apply.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Operations or related field.
5–7 years of progressive manufacturing/supervisory experience.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Knowledge of budgeting process and financial tools.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities; work independently and in teams.
ERP system knowledge and advanced Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the safe manufacture of products while adhering to safety policies and compliance requirements.
Provide leadership for development and implementation of quality, cost improvements, and on-time delivery.
Coordinate production with required schedules to meet customer requirements and optimize labor use.
Develop, train, coach, and engage employees to improve efficiency and morale.
Conduct formal performance appraisals and support pay-for-performance culture.
Collaborate with HR to source, evaluate, and hire qualified candidates.
Ensure adherence to process control, operating instructions, and quality instructions.
Manage and coordinate activities to maximize productivity while meeting safety and throughput targets.
Plan daily/weekly labor, equipment, and supply needs to meet targets.
