Atkore is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the Harvey, IL facility, 1st shift (M-F, 7a–3p) with 1–3 years of supervisory manufacturing experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred; lean experience highly valued.

You will lead teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are met. Responsibilities include staffing, coaching, and developing team members, implementing Lean tools, and coordinating with Safety, Quality, and HR.

Formación

• 1–3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the team using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Develop plans to engage and improve team performance within the value stream.
• Foster a positive team atmosphere; hold regular meetings and empower team members.
• Implement cross-training to ensure proper function of work cells.
• Coach team members to identify problems, perform root-cause analyses, and implement countermeasures.
• Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
• Lead by example and uphold Atkore values (Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Excellence).
• Within 3 months: complete immersion program and start supervising daily requirements.
• Within 6 months: own Lean Daily Management and KPI boards; partner on safety and quality improvements.
• Within 12 months: lead SQDC-driven performance, drive lean transformation, and foster engagement.
