Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Operator Assistant for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm, Mon-Fri, some Saturdays) in Harvey, IL. You will stack and bundle product and support line operations under the Manufacturing Supervisor.

The role requires at least 2 years in industrial manufacturing; lean manufacturing experience is a plus. You will load/unload, operate end finishing equipment, inspect tubing, band bundles, and prepare skids.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or business system-based company is a plus.
• Ability to pass the post offer employment process with drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload finished and WIP product.
• Operate end finishing equipment.
• Line up and lubricate tubing at automatic swager or de-dimpler.
• Assist cut off operators inspecting tubing for quantity and quality.
• Band bundles, staple bands and spray ends.
• Make up skids and maintain inventory of skid frames.
• Change saw blades as required.
