Job summary

Atkore International seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor for our Harvey, IL facility on the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7a-3p; some Saturdays). You will supervise machine operating staff, lead Lean Daily Management, and own shift safety, quality, delivery, and productivity KPI performance.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years supervisory experience in manufacturing, with lean manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing operations with lean practices.
• Lean manufacturing or business system background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead using the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management to drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
• Develop plans to improve engagement and performance of the value stream team.
• Instill a positive team atmosphere and conduct regular team meetings.
• Implement cross training to maximize team potential.
• Coach team members to identify problems, perform root cause analyses, and implement countermeasures.
• Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
