Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the Harvey, IL facility on the 2nd shift. This role reports to the Distribution Manager and manages safety programs, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and warehousing with a department of 15–25 unionized associates.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Inventory Control, and Transportation to optimize distribution operations, reduce costs, and improve on-time delivery while upholding

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a high-volume distribution center in a supervisor role.
Experience with WMS and scanning systems; JD Edwards preferred.
Leadership experience in a union environment preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal).

Responsibilities

Oversee distribution, warehouse, and fulfillment operations on the assigned shift and maintain standard work.
Coordinate activity on DC docks, plan carrier loading and transport types.
Meet shift financial objectives by managing controllable expenses.
Develop a safety culture with current, monitored safety programs.
Drive cost reductions via improvements to standard work.
Improve Service Factor rate and on-time delivery processes.
