Job summary

Atkore seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm – midnight) at the New Bedford, MA facility. You will supervise machining staff, drive lean initiatives, and own shift safety, quality, delivery and productivity performance.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, a lean background, and strong communication and leadership skills. Bachelor's degree is preferred and flexibility for overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Lean Daily Management and Lean tools to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Ensure procedures and standard work compliance by all value stream members.
• Control labor, materials, and machine utilization to meet production goals.
• Lead team meetings, assign tasks, and empower team member decisions.
• Develop plans to improve engagement and performance within the value stream.
• Manage vacation schedules and overtime.
• Coach team members to identify root causes and implement countermeasures.
• Implement cross training to maximize team potential.
• Lead by example and uphold Atkore values.
