Job summary

Atkore in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Machine Operator (LTC Operator) for the 2nd shift (4:00PM - 12:00PM) to operate, set up, inspect, and adjust machinery for production. The role requires reading and following Standard Work, meeting quality standards, and working with others to meet site goals.

Preferred candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work in a loud environment.

• Basic Math skills required.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend production Standard Work and Job Function Analysis (JFA).
• Ensure production materials are available.
• Operate and observe machinery during production.
• Identify acceptable or unacceptable product quality to customer requirements and quality standards.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately.
