Job summary

Atkore International is hiring a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 2nd shift (4:00 pm – 12:00 am) in New Bedford, MA. You will lead the machine operators, control labor and materials, and drive shift performance through Lean practices and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, and Lean/ERP experience (SAP/JD Edwards).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing experience or business system background preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/JD Edwards) and MS Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the machine operating staff and manage labor, materials, and machine utilization.
• Apply Lean Daily Management and Lean tools to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and standard work procedures.
• Develop and coach team members; conduct regular team meetings and problem-solving activities.
• Manage vacation schedules, overtime, and cross-training to maximize cell capability.
