Job summary

Ultipro is seeking an Operations Shift Manager to oversee 2nd and 3rd shift manufacturing operations at our Dayton, TN facility. The role focuses on directing direct labor resource planning, meeting safety, quality, and delivery targets while promoting continuous improvement through Lean methods.

You will supervise a multi-disciplinary team across sheet metal, fabrication, welding, coil fabrication, and assembly, drive production schedules, and mentor a supervisory team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a technical field.
• 6–8 years of experience in a high production manufacturing environment with 3 years of managerial experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the shift plant manufacturing operations across sheet metal, fabrication, welding, coil fabrication and assembly.
• Drives production schedules by properly scheduling workforce and resources.
• Ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost targets.
• Promotes continuous improvement through lean methods and cost reduction.
• Oversees maintenance and environmental policies; manages training and development.
• Act as interim Operations Manager during absences and develop team leaders.
