Columbia Tech is seeking a Production Manager to provide overall leadership of manufacturing operations. The role focuses on maximizing capital, material, and human resource utilization to meet production goals and uphold best-in-class quality within cost parameters.

The candidate will drive Lean manufacturing strategies, set goals, monitor results with PDCA, and develop associates through training and cross-training. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in operations or engineering or related field.
• Five years minimum in a Manufacturing Management position overseeing medium volume electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience leading Lean manufacturing projects and PDCA cycles.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for day-to-day manufacturing operations.
• Lead Lean initiatives to reduce costs, inventory and lead-times while improving quality.
• Ensure safe manufacturing practices and training of associates.
• Develop capacity plans and staffing to meet production schedules.
• Oversee hiring, training and performance management of assembly/test staff.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure training records and compliance.
• Utilize ERP tools for planning, analysis and work orders.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed.
