Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Production Manager to lead production operations, drive lean initiatives, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality standards. You will coordinate with Technical Services, Materials Management, Sales, and the local team to optimize workforce, equipment, and processes in a high-performance environment.

Responsibilities include planning facilities, budgeting assistance, cycle counting, safety compliance, and continuous improvement to maximize throughput

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 10+ years related production experience.
• Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.
• Experience with lean initiatives and quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to production operations to build a high performing culture and advance operations and strategic initiatives.
• Implement lean initiatives and quality processes for measurable improvement.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Plan and execute facilities planning to maximize revenue per square foot.
• Maintain standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance and advise on equipment purchases and improvements.
• Drive innovation solutions to streamline processes, increase capacity, maximize fabrication throughput and optimize asset utilization.
• Create, adjust and communicate production schedules to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
• Oversee workforce planning, screening, selection and terminations, and temporary labor functions.
• Ensure adherence to relevant certification programs and OSHA/regulatory guidelines.
• May assist in developing the annual budget and monitor performance against it.
• Coordinate timely cycle counting for accurate inventories.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
