Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking an Area Manager to oversee manufacturing operations for designated departments. You will drive on-time delivery, quality, and cost targets through Lean practices, 6S, and TOC, while guiding a production workforce.

You will delegate authority to Engineering, Information Systems, and Purchasing, lead a skilled supervision team, and shape annual budgets and production schedules to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Safely manufacture a quality product meeting specs and delivery commitments.
• Develop and implement plant manufacturing plans and schedules.
• Manage budgets and control costs, WIP, and throughput.
• Lead a supervision team and develop talent.
• Drive continuous improvement with Lean, 6S, TOC, and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Oversee designated department manufacturing operations.
• Ensure production requirements, quality, reliability, and on-time delivery at lowest cost.
• Delegate authority to Engineering, Information Systems, and Purchasing.
• Motivate production workforce and manage operational metrics.
