As a Production Manager, you will oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency, safety, product quality, and cost control. You will lead and develop production teams, drive continuous improvement efforts, and work closely with maintenance, quality, and supply chain partners to keep operations running smoothly. This role plays a key part in delivering high‑quality products and meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop production staff, ensuring alignment with company values and performance expectations.
- Manage day‑to‑day production activities to meet safety, quality, and delivery goals.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles and drive process improvements and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased efficiency and productivity.
- Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance overall operational performance.
- Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support customer needs.
- Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workforce planning for production lines.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in chemical, resin, or similar industries is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, build positive culture, and deliver strong operational results.
- Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Proven commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of production.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with all levels of leadership.
