Job summary

Shape Careers is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Alabama to lead Lean initiatives and optimize manufacturing processes. You will drive improvements through VSM/MIFC, coordinate DOE studies, and ensure safety and quality in daily activities.

Qualifications

Engineering/Engineering Technology degree required with 3–7 years of professional experience.
Master's degree in engineering with 0–3 years of experience adds value.
Technical degree or journeyman with 10+ years of applicable experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Champion and Leader for Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Utilize Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Material Information Flow Chart (MIFC) to drive improvement activities.
Create and utilize standards to evaluate improvement activities.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Identify, communicate and resolve mechanical failures associated with tools.
Ensure safety in process design and daily activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO/TS and other standards.
Provide data-driven justification for improvements and ROI.
Coordinate DOE studies and analyze results.
Lead mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.
Travel up to 10%.
