Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as an Industrial Engineer in Manufacturing
• Ability to analyze and resolve issues quickly through root cause analysis and drive changes back to production departments
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Value stream mapping, Yamazumi

Responsibilities

• Drive development and installation of labor standards and methods; track labor and line balancing
• Conduct ergonomics evaluations
• Analyze process constraints and perform cycle time analysis
• Develop cycle line layouts and lead methodization and allocations
• Coordinate engineering changes and value stream mapping
• Develop cost saving project proposals and write projects as required
• Interface with Production Supervision and the UAW to settle disputes
• Plan labor allocations for mix and line speed changes
