Job summary

ShapeCareers is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve equipment, processes, and systems through Lean practices. You will lead troubleshooting, plan layouts, and ensure safety and quality outputs with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities include leading launches, PFMEA discussions, and cost-effective process design while collaborating with vendors and teams to meet production demands.

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing methods and automotive-related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and champion Lean Manufacturing principles across manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize VSM and MIFC to drive improvement activities and data-driven decisions.
  • Analyze workflow, space, and equipment layout to improve efficiency.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical failures and ensure safe process design.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards and quality outputs with data-backed results.
  • Perform DOE studies and participate in PFMEA development meetings.
  • Coordinate maturation plans, risk mitigation, and timely execution of activities.
  • Support new business launches and effective transfer of value streams to Launch Engineers.
