Job summary
Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc., a division of Bluebird Turf, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Michigan to lead lean transformation efforts on the floor, design plant layouts, and develop value-stream improvements.
The role collaborates with Project Engineering on NPI, provides hands-on support during rollout, and creates standard work to eliminate waste. Recent graduates encouraged to apply for a strong career path in manufacturing engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Creo for plant layouts and tooling.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement solutions.
- Draft plant layouts in AutoCAD showing equipment, materials, and workspace.
- Provide concept designs, prototypes, and pre-production samples for CI and NPI.
- Participate in APQP meetings with Project Engineering and cross-functional teams for NPI.
- Provide hands-on engineering support during rollout of new projects.
- Collaborate on DFM opportunities and lead continuous improvement meetings.
- Compile ROI data for capital expenditures and manage large capital projects.
- Create standard work for manufacturing processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
