Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to drive lean improvements and standardized work for efficient assembly operations. You will ensure manufacturability, improve flow, and optimize work centers with CAD layouts.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 4+ years in manufacturing, with Lean certification preferred. Hybrid work, strong problem-solving skills, and collaboration with production teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred).
• 4+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement; Green Belt preferred.
• Experience in assembly of generator sets, switchgear, and/or metal fabrication equipment preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills using engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational goals.
• Develop and improve processes including Standard Work and SOPs.
• Analyze data to identify waste and bottlenecks.
• Lead Lean activities such as Kaizen and VSM.
• Design and optimize work center layouts for efficiency.
• Maintain and update facility layouts in CAD.
