Valmont Industries, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana is seeking a Production Scheduler/Planner to lead scheduling efforts, manage material requirements, and coordinate cross-functional activities to meet production targets.

The role requires 5+ years in scheduling or related fields, strong MRP/ERP knowledge, and solid Excel/Office skills, with a focus on improving productivity and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in scheduling, purchasing or a related role.
• Experience with MRP and/or ERP systems.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Previous experience in scheduling or operations planning.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional objectives.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers and present information clearly.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Direct departmental activities to meet or exceed profit objectives.
• Develop and manage shipping and material requirements forecast to meet site production plan.
• Create master production schedule and long/short-range material plans.
• Schedule incoming customer orders and monitor backlogs.
• Coordinate activities between production control, manufacturing, sales, and shipping.
• Lead scheduler and dispatch functions and prepare shop floor schedules.
• Ensure safety policies and productivity standards are followed.
• Train new employees on divisional activities and safety policies.
• Prepare daily timesheets, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports.
